err, hello.
first some general sentimentalism in general.
i am really happy that this thing we call unix exists,
and i can be an atom of it. you know being in the slovak
republic does not give you many options about OSes.
campus is not like in the US or CA, unices everywhere;
irix, hp-ux, solaris, and so on. we had to fight for 1
("one") d*mn IP number and when the IT NT guy got to know
that it will be a unix, well you can imagine.
anyway,
happy new year to you all, and... well i won't spoil my mail
mentioning bill.
now to the subject.
looking at this nice project called ports, would it be possible
to have the snapshot ports.tar.gz sliced into smaller pieces?
for example if i want just archivers/arj, why do i have to download
the whole package? there could be a ports/archivers.tar.gz along
with the other .tar.gzs.
i know ~2 megs is no problem for most of you. well, most of you.
i mean if the job is done by a script (i suppose), why not implement it?
