Are you saying you've tried and it hasn't?  If not, what's the problem.

Or are you saying you just want to query the over 1,258,923 (or so) people
who read this list because you don't want to pull down binaries (that
some stranger compiled whom you implicitly trust) and try it?

My wild ass guess would be, yeah, they'll work.  But I don't know.
I did a bunch of "make install"s in the ports area and went to bed.
It was installed in the AM.
