Alright, I give. I've been trying over and over for 3 days now. I'm lost. I've been trying to set up an OpenBSD box with 3 nic cards and it just won't work. Below is a chronology of what I've been doing hopefully someone will see something I've missed.
Network Info: (IP and host has been changed to protect the innocent)
OpenBSD w/ 3 nic cards hooked to cable modem
IP Address: 24.0.130.251
Hostname: cx459683-a_(_at_)_dnpt1_(_dot_)_occa_(_dot_)_home_(_dot_)_com
DNS Server: 24.7.54.63
fxp0-(To cable modem)24.0.130.251
fxp1-(To FTP Server via crossover cable) 10.10.2.1/24
fxp2-(To hub then to internal via straight through cable) 10.10.3.1/24
On to setup...

At this point I reboot and log into OpenBSD as root.

okay, check the link lights on the nics: Good
check the cable: Good
Now what?????
I haven't touched NAT or IPFilter so I would assume all packets coming from the OpenBSD box would go out through fxp0 right? Is there something I'm missing somewhere?
One thing I did notice. If I reset my cable modem and restart OpenBSD, when it starts the networking the transmit light on the cable modem comes on and _stays_ on. I never had that happen before so that struck me as odd. I grab the ethernet and hook it up to my laptop and everything works fine.
I've gone through and checked all the files in /etc and everything _seems_ fine. Ifconfig doesn't reveal anything out of the ordinary. I did a netstat -a for the hell of it and didn't see any outbound connections to give reason for the transmit light staying on on the cable modem.
Sorry for such a long email. I just don't want to leave anything out. Please help if you can, I'm about 3 installs away from slicing my wrist with a dull OpenBSD cd.
Thanks,
Jim
