I've been unsuccessful to-date in compiling 3.0.12 in -current, as a DSO.
It fails in one of the final linking stages with a duplicate symbol
definitions from the _pcre_* functions (Perl RegEx library).
I did open a bug report at PHP, #2574:
<http://bugs.php.net/?id=2574>
My time has since been eaten up by other project, so I haven't pursued it
other than to try it with an 11/06/99-current (just on the off chance).
