LED for harddisk access always on (2.6)

I couldn't find this in the archive, so I ask here: On my PC running
OpenBSD 2.6 (I installed the snapshots after the 2.6 tree had been
frozen) the LED which indicates an access to the harddisk is always
on.  Is this my configuration problem, a known problem, a bug?  Does
it matter or is just a small "annoyance"?
