I'd like to be able to use dump/restore for my backups because the FreeBSD
handbook says it is the best thing to use.
I performed a dump, then tried "restore -i".
I got the kernel message "aha: cannot map", then the process was locked in a
non-interruptable device wait until I downed the machine.
My hardware includes an Adaptec 1542CF and a DDS0 Archive Python and I have
been using tar under linux for years.
What could be wrong ?
Jon
