rsh as root, .rhosts

I seem to be unable to get rsh working the way i desire.

Actually, I can't seem to get root on machine A to rsh
over to machine B running OpenBSD without it asking for
password.

machine A = astro
machine B = listmgr

>From reading the man pages, i thought that i needed
this in listmgr:/root/.rhosts:

+_(_at_)_trusted_hosts root

where:

listmgr# ypmatch trusted_hosts netgroup
sunservers adobe arial arian arrus astro avon cairo chronicle cliff dragon dragon-156 anansi dune enquirer flex grog hobo iscfweb isis ivan komet lotto neon nuts pluto quad trio venus woodward y2kok

But that didn't work.
I tried these also:

astro root
astro.corp.adobe.com root

But those didn't work either, even when i put astro's
addy in /etc/hosts

What simple thing am i missing?
