Hi folks,
i´m trying to install OpenBSD 2.3 on a Motorola MVME 167 board
(68040 CPU, 33 Mhz, 32 MB Ram)
When i boot "bsd.rd" from tape (dds1, scsi id 6), the kernel starts
up, but after detecting the first scsi device (a Maxtor MXT540 with
OEM Software from IBM) the system crashes - no panic, just "FAIL" is lit.
After that failure i tried to do netboot of "bsd" and getting root
/swap via nfs from a FreeBSD machines. Now the kernel starts up just
fine, telling me that root is 134.147.252.2:/tmp/test and swap is
134.147.252.2:/tmp - and panics after that with "panic: rminit swap"
The readme isnt really helpful about that, so i did everything as written
in FreeBSD's diskless(8) - i created a file "swap" in /tmp, 16 Megz large.
(134.147.252.2 is exporting "/" with option -alldirs)
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Andre
