I'm trying to install OpenBSD on my Mac SE/30. I've attached a 2 MB external
hard drive, partitioned with Apple HD SC Setup 7.3 5. Below is the partition
map and my intended uses for each partition.
In particular, I've built separate partitions for root and usr, using the
sizes recommended on the OpenBSD CDROM insert (plus a little extra). However,
when I try to install the base package, it fills up the root partition with
usr stuff. It does not seem to recognize the partition intended for usr.
I also tried building devices before installing the base package, creating a
usr directory and mounting the intended partition to it. Installing the base
package still filled up the root partition with usr stuff.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to build a root partition large enough to
handle the initial install and then move things to the root partition? Advise
please...
Thanks!
