I'm able to connect just fine with an ISP, but have had some
strange errors...
Connecting to either a Linux or FreeBSD box via telnet, I'll
load Pine after telneting. Pine will begin to load, then just
hang. (on both boxes) Connecting to the Linux box's web server
with Lynx, I cannot get the index page to load, and in the
terminal where ppp is running, many lines scroll by:
Error: IpInput: wrote 1504, got Message too long
These lines will scroll by until I cancel the transfer. I don't
know what that error means, I can't find any reference. Maybe
one of you can steer me right.
Oh, forgot mention.... It does the same thing when I use
fetchmail. Fetchmail will start to gather mail, then puke. I
built this mail client I'm using now, XFMail, to gather pop mail
from the ISP, but I'd rather use Pine or Mutt. XFMail retreives
the mail just fine, no problems, the same mail that fetchmail
won't. :(
