Hello,
According to the man page for adduser and setlogin , the max
username is defined as 8 characters. Is there any work around or patch to
define a username of more than 8 characters ?
/usr/include/utmp.h specifies :
#define UT_NAMESIZE 8
char ut_name[UT_NAMESIZE];
Is it possible to redefine this? What else will attempting to increase
this value break?
