Hitachi CDROM 2.3 boot floppy.

Am using the 2.3 boot floppy.
I get the following when booting off of the floppy. (this is not an exact
paste)

acd0(wdc0:1):command aborted illegal request, command: 5a  0 2a 0 0  0 0 0
1c 0 0 0
acd0:cant mode sense:acd_get_mode failed

Any idea what this is happening, or how to fix it?
