File Permissions

Does any one know what this file permission is -r-sr-xr-r, I know that
r=read, x=execute, w=write, but what is s=? the mac68k snapshot is
litter with this permissions (looks like they all might belong gnu
tools) is this the new permission settings?  or is this possibly
corrupted.  I just reinstalled the snapshot this evening.
