wow - fine - currently i'm somekind of the OpenBSD/pmax man :-) - so lets tell
you something about the status:

* people & machines: currently 3 machines in the world (as far as i know) are
  running OpenBSD/pmax two here in berlin at the university and one in munich
  - from there i'll get another machine in the next days/weeks to hack at home
  - the machines are 2x2100 here and a 3100 in munich and the one which i
  should get will be an 5000 - currently i am the person who is trying to get
  the OpenBSD/pmax kernel compiling and running - with the help of all the
  OpenBSD mips people and dieter meier from munich

* status - looks really good so far - the kernel (with some small modification
  i still have to commit) is compiling and running fine here (still using an
  old NetBSD 1.2 ld and elf2aout - but it should not be too hard to get the arc
  ld.script stuff working - my first try failed - but this is more due to the
  problem that my pmax is not directly accessable for me - so i avoid booting
  experimental kernel - because if it fails i have to find someone to reboot
  the machine for me) - dieter has compiled the full userland also - so nearly
  all is done - btw. we are currently running ontop of the OpenBSD/arc
  binaries - they run just fine (excerpt things like disklabel and so on) -
  until we have a native OpenBSD/pmax binary distrib

* plans:
  - me: * make OpenBSD/pmax running and compiling fine and a bin snapshot
        * make somekind of an X bin distrib (server from R5, clients R6)
        * convert the scsi code to the new style
        * maintain OpenBSD/pmax
  - dieter: * bring the X11R6 Xws interface into OpenBSD/pmax so that we can
              build an native R6 server

so - if you are interested - simply contact me - looks like it's worth to
setup a small mailinglist for us all to comunicate about the pmax - you can
reach me as:

  perfection is reached, not when there is no longer anything to add, but when
      there is no longer anything to take away antoine de saint-exupery
