G'day,
I just tried installing OpenBSD/i386 on a machine that has been running
NetBSD/i386 (with that awful memory leak) and a 3C507. Using the Sep 21
inst12.fs & kc12.fs, the machine installs fine, but the default irq for
ie0 is 7. This machine doesn't work well with that, so the 3C507 is
configured with irq 5.
On booting, the kernel correctly reports that it is configured for
irq 7 and the board is configured for irq 5 (BTW I've always wondered
why NetBSD didn't take the irq from the board... perhaps OpenBSD might
make that change?!), and the machine continues to boot.
When I boot with -c, and "change ie0" to irq 5, then "exit", the machine
continues to boot, but doesn't see ie0. I tried disabling every other
device configured for irq 5 (and iomem 0xd0000), but no joy. Anyone
got any clues?
Regards,
{P.S. Anyone tried OpenBSD/Alpha?}
