mvme167 kernel does not compile from config file

System: MVME167 version 3.0 

Problem: Attempting to compile the MVME167 kernel from the supplied
configuration file fails at the final link stage with complaints about:
if_le.o: Undefined symbol `_pccintr_establish' referenced from text segement 
*** Error Code 1

Fix: Comment out all 3 lines of: 
   le* at vmes...
in the MVME167 config script.

This is reproducable and consistant.
