Hi!
I just intstalled 2.7 on a Dell OptiPlex GXpro 200, an even though the
install worked flawlessly the boot hangs indefinitely afterwards. I had the
exact same results with 2.6 a couple of weeks ago. The last two lines on the
console I get from the machine are:
pctr: 686-class user-level performance counters enabled
mtrr: Pentium Pro MTRR support
The machine is configured (roughly) as:
Pentium Pro 200MHz
176 MB RAM
2 x 2GB Seagate IDE disks
8x IDE CD-ROM
Onboard 3COM 3c590 NIC
Onboard Soundblaster something
I'm fairly new to OpenBSD, but I think I managed to boot into configure mode
and disable the NIC and soundcard to no avail. The funny thing is that the
boot floppy works. How does this kernel differ from the one in the
distribution?
/frero
