First off I've read http://www.openbsd.org/users.html.
A company I'm working with is interested in replacing their current
firewall with a redundant OpenBSD firewall. They've given me a list of
concerns that I've been addressing, however one of them I've not had
much luck with.
They're a company regulated by several different bodies and as such are
subject to external audits. Their concern is the auditors are going to
have issue with the firewall. Whether it appears they're not willing to
spend money on critical infrastructure, or just running something
"unproven".
References to other companies that go under external audits I'm thinking
would be my best bet to addressing this, and I'm hoping someone who
reads this will know of such a company.
Failing that I'm told that companies that are "well recognized" would
also help.
The reason users.html isn't going to work for me is because there's no
name and number I can give to the management-types to call. Adobe is
impressive, but how old is that?
Any help on this would be appreciated. The reference(s) would only be
called once to verify; it wouldn't need to be an on going thing.
Thanks,
Chris
