Panic with Disk Quotas
Hi All,
This is a fully patched 2.9 i386 box running disk quotas only on ffs
partitions, and the box will panic seemingly at random with messages
typically looking like this:
...
Oct 1 10:05:01 keid CRON[22041]: (root) CMD (/scripts/mrtg_run)
Oct 1 10:07:36 keid syslogd: restart
Oct 1 10:07:36 keid /bsd: uvm_fault(0xf9588160, 0x0, 0, 1) -> 1
Oct 1 10:07:36 keid /bsd: fatal page fault in supervisor mode
Oct 1 10:07:36 keid /bsd: trap type 6 code 0 eip e028cc78 cs 8 eflags 10202 cr2
Oct 1 10:07:36 keid /bsd: panic: trap
Oct 1 10:07:36 keid /bsd: syncing disks... 18 15 8 done
Oct 1 10:07:36 keid /bsd: rebooting......
I have the machine auto-reboot on panic since it is at a remote location.
FWIW, I have read the man pages, and have perused the FAQ pertaining to
quotas and I am doing everything right (as far as I know). Any help with
this would be great. BTW, I wasn't having any problems until I started using
quotas.
TIA,
-Eric
