weird network problem between 2.9-stable machines

Hi,

I have an openbsd server (shea) and a laptop (biggle) - both on
openbsd2.9-stable.

Following effect:
shea and biggle on the same LAN/subnet:
I cant ping (or anything else) each other, with the difference:
ping biggle->shea: arp request sent and answered, icmp echo
	requests sent but *not* answered.

ping shea->biggle: no arp requests, thus no icmp at all

shea and biggle on different subnets:
	anything works as intended

So, I guess the basic problem is in the arp handling of shea - but only
for exactly this machine biggle. All other machines on the LAN can be
reached w/o any problem.

shea uses a ne2000 compatible and the ifconfig is correct. media type
is fixed to 10baseT

I had the same effect on 2.8, but first did the upgrade before
this post :> Btw, all cabling was redone too, so I think I've eliminated
hw errors

Any hints?

TIA,
ciao
