More specifically, not knowing huge amounts about 1000BaseWHATEVER, my
questions include:

1. Are all the supported chipsets/cards able to do 10/100/1000
auto-sense / switching ?

2. Cards (copper) range in price in the UK from about $100 to over
$700 - is there really that much in it ?

3. Any issues with VLAN support with any specific chipsets / cards ?
