For you, maybe. It's what you're used to (as you say a "good thing").
Maybe from Solaris pkill is easier. What about from HPUX or Linux?

Port. When there are several clear alternatives (skill, zap, killall),
OpenBSD doesn't very often seem to pick one and import it, unless it's
Very Good.
