Something "like this" would certainly be attractive, although the
licensing IBM went with is not as attractive. I do not want to
prolong the debate over licensing, let's just say I (personally)
prefer the BSD-style licensing and leave it at that.
Given that position, which would be a waste of everyone's time to
debate yet again in this mailing list, my question is:
Has anyone contacted IBM to see if they would release it under
BOTH the GPL and the BSD-style artistic license? Products like
Perl have handled licensing that way, perhaps IBM could be
persuaded to do the same.
