Hum, it might look like some symbols of libc are now weakly defined.
The problem is that libc does refuse to take precedence on itself.
In -lslang -lc, -lslang triggers a secondary library scan of -lc (since slang
needs -lc to work), which pulls in those symbols... then the primary scan of
-lc pulls them in again, but it's too late.
It does look like weak symbols test ought to take the `secondary' nature of
the first scan of lc as well...
No patch yet, short on time, sorry.
