Re: parallel makes ?



Oh yes, I got it now :-)


I looked at make's parameters.
Do we start a parallel make by giving it a '-j #' to give make a freedom on how
many jobs it can launch 'in parallel' ?


I did try this on some make situations.
  - with make in ports, this seems to work great (now :-)
  - with make for a new kernel, it also works great, and I think I can feel the
performance gain :-)
  - but with make build in the source tree, it kinda gets some strange results,
and it fails :-(

The last probably show some side effect with the parallel execution of 'have to
be' sequential execs...
