Ports build into packages.  Then I can do a:

	Get snort package from OpenBSD ftp mirror
	pkg_add snort...

instead of:

	Find snort site
	Find source on site
	Get source
	Unpack source
	./configure ... && make && make install

Packages are a godsend when admining a number of hosts.
