Exactly.

This dumb rule has already been hacked to death on that specific forum.
I'm fortunate to have a second machine at work that runs 2.6, so I can
follow it...

I very much would like to know whom, among ports developpers, is actually
following that rule.

If you don't want to admit to that to ports@ publically, please answer
to espie@cvs.openbsd.org.
