Re: MySQL and PostgreSQL

Hi Paolo,

I've been working on bringing the PostgreSQL port up to date with 6.5.1.
It does the optional support for Tcl/Tk (tested with PGaccess) and ODBC
(untested). It doesn't install man pages yet. I ran the regression tests
and they are OK on i386, except for lots of round-off errors in float8 and
geometry.

I don't know about "best" but I chose PostgreSQL because the license is
less restrictive, and it appears to handle large databases better.
However, I am not an authority on databases.

I will try to commit my changes some time this weekend but I'm a bit
worried because it's my first port. It helps that many people have been
helping.

Ciao
