Ports request form
I just started work on a page where OpenBSD users can request software
they would like to see in the ports section. This really isn't a way to
play 'catch-up' to FreeBSD (for various reasons that we already know),
but more of a way to get the more obscure, or less-known applications
that people will find useful in the ports tree.
The page is here:
http://methodic.angrypacket.com/ports.html
It's pretty simple right now. You just enter in the name of the port
you'd like to see (ie mozilla, gaim, etc -- yes, i know these are
already in the ports tree). If the application is already in the
database, the number of requests will be incremented.. if not, obviously
a new entry will be created.
Im thinking of adding an extra field that shows if someone has taken
intrest in porting the software or not..
Anyway, feel free to submit any application(s), and as always,
comments/suggestions are _greatly_ appriciated.
