Yes, you're correct. Look in the ports@ mailing list archives because I
already explained this.

But basically the -current ports tree is not for use on
2.9-release/-stable systems anymore. Check out the ports tree with the
tag "OPENBSD_2_9_TRACKING_SWITCH" and that tree will work on the former
mentioned systems.
