Re: vi vs emacs vs pico
A big chunk of the answer lies in history. To be able to do anything on
a unknown UNiX system you must be able to use vi.
I went so far in my struggel to learn vi that I replaced Notepad with
vim[1]. Nowdays I love vi cause it makes me feel like a hardass hacker.
