that really depends with what high-level protocol the applet is passed
to the client. They don't use a dedicated port.

If you are talking of web-embedded applets, they should be using 80
(http) or 443 (https).

If this doesn't help you ... try to be more specific - how do you intent
to serve the applets?
Do the applets communicate with the server using a proprietary protocol
(not http)?
