You're right, I wasn't being precise.  A while ago I built a routing
pc with linksys cards and linux, and had a little bit of trouble with
older tulip drivers.  Apparently there's a variation in the chipsets
even among Linksys cards.

It's too bad they're so hard to support, because the cards are cheap
and I've gotten good performance from them.
