Right after I received my 2.3 CD's I went home to do a clean 2.3 install
on a new system. Whoops the CD-ROM drive was bad, since I didn't feel
like going back into town I went ahead and did a complete install across
a modem via a FreeBSD box connected via modem. I had dinner, went to sleep,
went out for breakfast, came back and voila.

Not a recommended route but it can be done.
