I'm running OpenBSD 3.5-STABLE on a relatively powerful
machine which doesn't have all the demands of a production
environment. I'd like to try to compile the system from
source using different compile options (for instance, -O3
or -O1 instead of always -O2). I've messed around with
the settings in /usr/share/mk/* but I can't seem to override
the thousands of references to -O2 in the the src tree. Is
there any way to do this, preferably better than a massive
sed? And are there any serious negative side effects to
doing this, e.g. defeating ProPolice or making userland
unable to find syscall entry points of something odd like
that?
Thanks!
