Updating to OPENBSD_3_5 Patch Branch

Hello, I've just installed OpenBSD 3.5 and I want to update to the 3.5
patch branch. In the Upgrading Mini-FAQ I am told a bunch of commands
to run and a few other things. I am told that I have to update my /etc
by hand. Although I believe that the Upgrading Mini-FAQ is for
upgrading from releases like 2.6 to to 2.7, but I may be wrong.

I came across the OpenBSD Patch Branches website (
http://www.openbsd.org/stable.html ). The difference between this
guide and the Upgrading Mini-FAQ, is that It doesn't tell me to
uprgade my /etc/. So I'm rather confused here and I'm wondering if
someone could fill me in on what exactly I should be doing.

If upgrading the /etc is the case, is there much work involved and if
so, isn't there a tool to automate the proccess?
