burning audio CD with cdrecord from ports, i would get
pops every ~3s or so ( burning @ 8x ) or every ~0.7s ( burning
@ 1x ). drive is a sony CRX-140e; it is slave on secondary
IDE, master is another CD drive.
the source *.wav have no pops when play them with waveplay
pops fixed by using '-immed' and 'minbuf=50' arguments to cdrecord.
just thought i'd pop this up to misc@ in case of someone doing
an archive search for similar issue. since i'm not really asking
for help on it, thought it would be ok to goto misc@ rather than ports@.
