If you've got a solid firewall, a wintendo for counter-strike shouldn't be
much of a worry to you. If you'd really like to nix the windows machine, you
might check out http://www.transgaming.com and switch your gaming machine to
some form of Linux. It's not OpenBSD, but it's a step up from Windows. Last I
checked, they listed nearly 100% support for Half-Life and derivatives under
WineX.
(I still have a single Win98SE box lying around that I use strictly as a
Wintendo ... HDD just big enough for the games I play regularly, and a nice
solid firewall ruleset. It crashes periodically, but game play requires no
effort other than to insert the CD and click 'install'. The 'no effort
required' feature becomes more important when your goal is to relax and not
have to hack anything for a bit. :))
