   Oh, sure, you could--but what is the point?  If you can't
trust the processes on the box, what CAN you trust?

I think this crosses the boundaries of security and leaps
into complete paranoia.  If the machine is really and truly
sensitive, it shouldn't be on the net.  It should only be
accessable  by the console in a secure room.  Data
exchange should only be done by some means like CD
or tape.
