HP commitment is to a couple iterations of the EV7 and how many years do
you think that will take them to get to market.  Sure they will continue
to support their current customers, but the Alpha is a dead end product.
If you want to argue that point go ahead.  All I know is that at my day
job I have a lot of contact with HP nee Compaq nee Digital people and if
the Alpha wasn't almost gone our next super computer would be running on
Alpha's and not Hammers.  Figure out where I work and you win the prize.
