It never came up, so either that question was
ignored or never asked.
Considering the nature of their new blade computers
which are single board computers plugged into a
common backplane, it seems even less likely
that they will document that backplane and by
extension any of the UIII gear.
The "open" part of their strategy is to run Solaris
or Linux, the "closed" part of their strategy
appears to be hardware.
So, why give the competition any opportunity to
create plug-compatible boards, or port their OS
to your hardware?
