Since I  am not  on tech@  and don't normally  follow the  newsgroup the
announcement was actually brought to my attention from somone that knows
I use  OpenBSD; I did see  it on deadly.org afterwards.  So, while there
may be silence, I do believe that people are noticing. He did mention to
me that it was  one of the coolest developments he  has seen in software
security---this  certainly  might  help  get  him  interested  in  using
OpenBSD.
