Actually, I think I found this -- actually, anil@recoil.org asked a
question which started the train of thought that solved the problem.
For the archives:
If /usr/ports is on a separate partition, then this happens. If
/usr/ports is under /usr, then everything Just Works.
Is this expected behaviour? If so, perhaps this should be mentioned
in ports(7)?
