have to agree with you.  I have yet to find a task that's faster on the 8
processor Sun machine than on the dualy PIII next to it under linux.
Theoretically, they scale better, but for their sticker price (and their,
honestly, crappy customer service) i'd rather get twice as many AMD
machines and pay the developers to write code that works well in paralell.
