Ok. Fair enough. Perhaps someone can comment (on this list) as to the 
'carved in stone' answer.

I might just try it for grins ;)

PS. I had alot of trouble in the past with my 29160 card...the driver 
worked and then when I cvs'd it didnt. I do recall them removing some 
support back then for adaptec.
