Updating nat when external ip address changes
I have OpenBSD 3.1 as a firewall connected via cable modem to the internet.
A couple of days ago, my external ip address changed (I think dhclient must
have re-run?). Because my nat rules weren't reloaded at that time, nat
stopped working.
What is the best way to automate updating my nat rules when this happens? I
was thinking of setting up a cron job to check if the external ip address
has changed, and if it has reload the nat rules.
What is the best practise for updating nat rules?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
