Re: WXP-formatted msdos Floppies

What I observed was that I was able to write to
a very old msdos floppy (possibly formatted with
os/2 back in the 89-92 timeframe) and then to
read that floppy on Windows XP Pro running on
my laptop. Then, because there were a lot of junk
files on the floppy, I reformatted it on the laptop.
Then when I tried to remount the floppy on my
desktop computer running OpenBSD, the mount
command kept reporting an error. Then I pulled up
another really old msdos-formatted floppy and I was
able to mount it with no problems, write to it and read
the written file from the floppy using the laptop.

But then my copy of Windows XP Pro may well be
buggered. I'm very close to replacing WXP on
the laptop with OpenBSD now.
