So you're NOT running sendmail. But the subject says "sendmail"
to which I suppose the question is related.
Sorry if I'm picking on marvin, but...
Guys, can we put up subject lines that are PERTINENT?
Cause when I come back from a week away and have 1200 messages,
I just delete the ones that I can't determine. And I often
can and do help out.
I know I'm not the only one who just pares down vague list
mail when time is running tight.

One might suggest the magic of "more /etc/rc /etc/netstart" as a
starting point. Learn your OS and how it starts things.
