That patch is supposed to be applied over collect.c v1.23. However, I 
believe that OpenBSD 3.0 is supplied with v1.21, so the patch will fail 
(this is the v3.0 errata page). Not big deal to fix that issue, but you can 
be sure that you'll get e-mail saying that it doesn't work. So, may I 
suggest to you to change the patch in order to apply it against v1.21.
