Hmm...Am i the only one that doesnt have any problems with OpenBSD on
Dell Poweredge's?
My 1550's has been working flawlessly for at least 4 months or so.
Granted, they're all scsi so the IDE thing dont bother me (I mean,
how often do you make use of a CDROM on a dedicated server?).
I also wiped the "maintenance" partitions on mine.
They're sort of weird really. If you delete them and then recreate
them from the Dell CD's they're BIGGER than the ones the machine
came with. Seems like the inital partition is just a subset of
the "real" thing. Since I'm no big fan of multiboot on servers
I decided to wipe them.
Besides, you can recreate it to floppies too (about 7 of them)
in the unlikely event that you'll need those tools. If you're so 
screwed you'll need those tools chances are you cant boot from
the harddisks at all...

Just me 5 pesos (wich is barely nothing)
